Plan your next evening on the Scioto at Nightlight 614!
RAIN, RAIN, GO AWAY.
At least I’d assume that’s what the folks over at Nightlight 614 are chanting to the sky every other Thursday night for the rest of the summer. What gives, Summer 2017?! We’re all just trying to enjoy a nice outdoor movie night along the Scioto River with 200 of our closest friends, can’t you give us a little slack on the torrential downpours?
Unfortunately, 2 of the first 3 movie showings were rescheduled for rain, and the 3rd experienced quite a drizzle throughout- but we must stay strong! The next movie up is Step Brothers on September 7th, so let’s all do a little rain dance to keep the storm clouds away.
If you’ve never had the pleasure of experiencing a night with the Nightlight 614 crew, you’re missing out! Grab a few fun friends and click here to see the upcoming schedule and to buy tickets. Food trucks, brews, wine, and a perfect view of the Columbus skyline in the background of a giant movie screen. What could get better?
Luckily, the rain held off for the first few hours of the Bridesmaids showing and I was able to grab a seat and enjoy a bite to eat. Food trucks represented were Pitabilities, Kinetic, Late Night Slice, HaiCbus, Tortilla Street Food, and Kookys Cookies. Rhinegeist was slingin’ brews on tap and wines from the bottle.
Per usual, if there is Hai Poke within one mile of my current location, you know I’m going for some. If you didn’t get a chance to check them out at the Columbus Food Truck Festival or previous NL 614s, they’ll be popping up at every single one of the movies this summer! WIN.
I can’t even look at this picture without getting a little hungry.
See ya on the Scioto, Columbus!
