A Taste of Holidays in Columbus
One of my favorite things about the holiday season is searching for and finding the best local gifts for my friends and family. OBVIOUSLY most of the gifts I pick out are food-themed, because why wouldn’t they be?! There’s nothing better than having yourself a fun “foodie” day while shopping for local jams, spirits, restaurant apparel, and more. So many local restaurants and cafes in Columbus also feature holiday-themed specials. One of my favorites is the first gift idea I’ve listed below – the macaron gift box from Pistacia Vera!

Northstar Cafe
Let’s be honest, when the holidays finally come to an end (sadly!) most of us are craving something a little green. I try to keep this in mind when shopping for my more health-conscious friends and family and snag them some giftcards from Northstar! My favorites are the Townsfair Salad, Northstar Burger (pictured below), and a GIANT side of sweet potato fries. Bonus: These giftcards are good for all three of the Northstar company restaurants including Brassica and Third & Hollywood!
Watershed Distillery Bottle Shop
Merch, spirits, gift cards and more. The Watershed Distillery Bottle Shop has it all! If you’ve never been, you just take a right immediately when you enter the Watershed Kitchen and Bar in Grandview and you’ll face a full display of locally inspired gift options (seen below). Watershed also has the cutest themed spirit gift boxes and they put it together right in front of you!
Emmett’s
I’ve got to be honest with you, a gift card to Emmett’s Cafe in German Village is one of the top items on my Christmas list. This is a great gift that can be used anytime, and (in my opinion) there isn’t a SINGLE thing on Emmett’s menu that isn’t mouth watering! Below is the Lox Sandwich for $13 (matija focaccia, smoked salmon, juniper-dill cream cheese, egg, arugula, pickled beet, red onion). If you’re more of an egg kinda person, the Breakfast Burrito is an absolute cannot miss.
